"On Stage Across America" Visits Salzburg to Uncover the History of The Sound of Music

In Sept. 2014, NY1's "On Stage Across America" visited Salzburg, Austria to take a look at the locations used in the classic 1965 film "The Sound of Music." Frank DiLella investigates the city's connection to the film and the stage production and takes a look at a current German language theatrical production, an extensive sightseeing tour that visits the film's locations and an ongoing marionette theatre production featuring the voices of Broadway performers and .

The Von Trapp Children Unearth Memories From "The Sound of Music"

In June of 2012, three of the actors that played the Von Trapp children in the classic 1965 film 鈥� (Louisa), Nicholas Hammond (Friedrich) and Kym Karath (Gretl) 鈥� stopped by the 半岛体育 offices to talk about "The Sound of Music Family Scrapbook." Complied by the seven kids in the film, the book collects personal photos, letters, home movies and memories of life on set and after the film was released.
