The New York premiere of 20th Century Blues, a new drama by Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winning playwright Susan Miller, celebrated its Off-Broadway opening November 26. The play looks at the lives of four women鈥攆rom the mundane and the familial, to the deeply personal鈥攚ho have known one another for over 40 years.
20th Century Blues is currently playing The Pershing Square Signature Center. The cast is made up of Beth Dixon (The Good Wife), three-time Helen Hayes Award winner Franchelle Stewart Dorn (鈥楾is Pity She鈥檚 a Whore), Emmy Award nominee Polly Draper (thirtysomething), two-time Obie Award winner Kathryn Grody (Top Girls), Obie Award winner Ellen Parker (The Heidi Chronicles), and Charles Socarides.
