The new musical Dirty Little Secret receives an industry presentation in New York City April 11. Tony winner Jerry Mitchell is directing.
The cast includes Jake Pederson, Noah J. Ricketts, Adam Kantor, Marty Lauter, John Bolton, Kevin Pariseau, Kerry Butler, and Tony winner Alex Newell. Casting is by Craig Burns for The Telsey Company.
With a book by Jonathan Sheffer and music and lyrics by Sheffer and Bruce Roberts, the musical follows the true story of a group of gay Harvard students at the dawn of the Jazz Age. The young men host wild parties at the university, until a Secret Court formed by the school exposes and expels the group, ruining their lives while shielding the institution and its Court from discovery. In 2002, a Harvard journalism student uncovered the story after it was kept a secret for 80 years.
Music supervision is by Chris Fenwick, and general management is by Foresight Theatrical.
