This year's festival will feature 20 productions around New York City March 1鈥揂pril 30.

C茅sar Ch谩vez and the Migrants, presented by Teatro SEA

The Alliance of Teatros Latinos NY has announced the lineup for Teatro Fest 2025, a celebration of Latine culture through live theatre, dance, music, and discussion with the community's artists. This year's festival will take place March 1鈥揂pril 30 in New York City, with 20 productions and more than 147 performances to be featured.

Festival venues will include IATI Theater, INTAR Theatre, Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, Repertorio Espa帽ol, Teatro LATEA, Teatro SEA, and Thalia Spanish Theatre, all of which are member theatres of the Alliance of Teatros Latinos NY. 

Teatro C铆rculo will present Carmen Rivera's La Ca铆da de Rafael Trujillo (The Downfall of Rafael Trujillo) April 25鈥揗ay 11, with C谩ndido Tirado directing. 

IATI Theater's selection will be Itziar Pascual's La Ni帽a y la Ballena, directed by Antigona Gonzalez and running March 27鈥揂pril 20. 

As previously reported, INTAR Theatre will stage The Irrepressible Magic of the Tropics, penned by Juli谩n Mesri and running February 19鈥揗arch 16 as part of Teatro Fest. Kathleen Capdesu帽er will direct. 

Teatro LATEA's productions will include Of Flowers and Tears (March 6 and 8), choreographed and directed by Carole Alexis; Abya Yala (April 12), written and directed by Patricia Aranibar; and Me Estoy Quedando Calva (April 25鈥�26 and May 2鈥�3), written and directed by Yenny S谩nchez.

Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater will offer March Is Music 2025, a series of ten concerts from Latin, jazz, fusion, and classical artists. Concerts will be presented March 1鈥�30 on Saturdays at 7 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. 

Repertorio Espa帽ol's festival productions will include Los Soles Truncos (March 1鈥揂pril 25), written by Ren茅 Marqu茅s and directed by Jos茅 Zayas; La Llamada (March 14鈥揂pril 6), written by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo and directed by Rafa S谩nchez; Radojka (March 16鈥揂pril 19), written by Fernando Schmidt and Christian Ibarz谩bal and directed by Leyma L贸pez; La Breve y Maravillosa Vida de Oscar Wao (March 22鈥揂pril 27), written and directed by Marco Antonio Rodr铆guez; and Risoterapia (March 28鈥�30), written by Saulo Garc铆a and directed by Juan Carlos Talero. 

Teatro SEA will offer a theatrical concert titled Un Coraz贸n Feliz en NY (Cultural Exchange with Cuba) March 20, with Rub茅n Dar铆o Salazar and Rochi Almeiro directing. On March 21, programming will include a screening of the documentary Puppetry in the Hispanic Caribbean Ep 1: Cuba, directed by Manuel Mor谩n and Kristian Otero; and a panel discussion on contemporary Cuban puppetry, moderated by Yudd Favier. From March 21鈥�22, programming will include La Ni帽a Que Riega la Albahaca y el Pr铆ncipe Pregunt贸n, adapted, performed, and directed by Rub茅n Dar铆o Salazar with set design by Zen茅n Calero. From April 5鈥揗ay 3, Teatro SEA will present C茅sar Ch谩vez and the Migrants, written and directed by Manuel A. Mor谩n; and from April 11鈥揓une 13, five directors (Gara Roda, George River贸n, Mart铆n Chamorro, and Askel Tang) will each present a short play as part of the 16th season of Microtheater NY - Director's Showcase.  

Finally, Thalia Spanish Theatre will present El Vuelo de las Palomas (The Doves' Flight), written by Jos茅 Luis Alonso de Santos, directed by H茅ctor Luis Rivera, and running February 28鈥揗arch 23; Entre Amigos Flamencos, directed by Yloy Ybarra and running March 28鈥揂pril 13; and Tuya Siempre, Julita, written by Roberto Ramos Perea, directed by Amneris Morales and Ivan Goris, and running April 25鈥揗ay 11. 

A special preview night will be held February 24 at 6 PM at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
