Broadway News Broadway Premiere of Marvin鈥檚 Room Opens June 29 Janeane Garofalo, Lili Taylor, and Celia Weston star in the Roundabout Theatre Company production.

The Broadway premiere of Scott McPherson鈥檚 Marvin鈥檚 Room officially opens June 29 at the American Airlines Theatre, starring Janeane Garofalo, Lili Taylor, and Celia Weston. The production is directed by Obie winner Anne Kauffman.

Marvin鈥檚 Room began performances June 8 and is scheduled to play through August 27.

Rounding out the cast are Jack DiFalco (Yen), Carman Lacivita (Sense & Sensibility), Nedra McClyde (Jessica Jones), Luca Padovan (School of Rock), and Triney Sandoval ().

In McPherson鈥檚 comedic drama, two sisters are reunited when one is diagnosed with leukemia. After learning of her illness, Bessie (Taylor) attempts to end a 20-year feud with her sister Lee (Garofalo). Weston plays their aunt.

Marvin鈥檚 Room was developed and produced at Chicago鈥檚 Goodman Theatre in 1990 and later in New York. The film adaptation starred Diane Keaton and as Bessie and Lee, respectively, along with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. McPherson died in 1992, and the film was released five years later.
