΅ώ°ω΄Η²Ή»ε·Ι²Ή²ββs Eamon Foley first broke out as a child star in such productions as Gypsy, Assassins, Dr Seussβ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and 13. But it was his performance as the lip syncing YouTube teenager in Sherie Rene Scottβs Everyday Rapture that changed his life.
With the release of his new music video (above), the director-choreographer reflects on his time in Everyday Rapture in honor of World Pride.
βI was listening to βUp the Ladderβ and it dawned on me that the lyrics could easily be interpreted as a gay anthem, an ode to coming out and being proud, which is exactly what Everyday Rapture did for me,β Foley shared in a statement.
Foley choreographed the music video to the trackβsung by Sherie Rene Scott, Betsy Wolfe, and Lindsay Mendezβstarring dancers Travante Baker, Tony winner Trent Kowalik (Billy Elliot The Musical), and Justin Mock. The video was produced by Grind Arts Company.
βThe ladies singing this song helped me come out when I was a kid,β Foley continued. βI wanted to make something that said thank you to them and the beautiful community that raised me. Iβm happy now, Iβm doing what I love.β
