叠谤辞补诲飞补测鈥檚 Eamon Foley first broke out as a child star in such productions as Gypsy, Assassins, Dr Seuss鈥 How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and 13. But it was his performance as the lip syncing YouTube teenager in Sherie Rene Scott鈥檚 Everyday Rapture that changed his life.
With the release of his new music video (above), the director-choreographer reflects on his time in Everyday Rapture in honor of World Pride.
鈥淚 was listening to 鈥楿p the Ladder鈥 and it dawned on me that the lyrics could easily be interpreted as a gay anthem, an ode to coming out and being proud, which is exactly what Everyday Rapture did for me,鈥 Foley shared in a statement.
Foley choreographed the music video to the track鈥攕ung by Sherie Rene Scott, Betsy Wolfe, and Lindsay Mendez鈥攕tarring dancers Travante Baker, Tony winner Trent Kowalik (Billy Elliot The Musical), and Justin Mock. The video was produced by Grind Arts Company.
鈥淭he ladies singing this song helped me come out when I was a kid,鈥 Foley continued. 鈥淚 wanted to make something that said thank you to them and the beautiful community that raised me. I鈥檓 happy now, I鈥檓 doing what I love.鈥
