Off-Broadway News Bruce Willis to Produce Off-Broadway Play About Billy the Kid Performances will begin October 30 at The Theater at St. Clements.

Bruce Willis (Moonlighting, Die Hard, Misery) and The Burgess Group will present a new play about Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett next month Off-Broadway.

Charles Cissel鈥檚 Must, directed by Gabriel Vega Weissman, will run October 30鈥揘ovember 19 at The Theater at St. Clements on 46th St. Opening is November 6.

The cast features Brendan Dooling (The Carrie Diaries) as Billy The Kid, John Clarence Stewart (Gotham, Luke Cage), Meredith Antoian (Here We Wait), Mark Elliot Wilson (We Need To Talk About Kevin), and Sally Ann Triplett (Finding Neverland, The Last Ship, Carrie).

Tony-winning producer Fred Zollo assisted in the development of the production.

Must is set in the New Mexican desert on the night before Billy the Kid's murder. 鈥淎s he reflects on the relationships that have informed his life, he conjures his mother, his lover, Sheriff Pat Garrett and the man he thinks might be his father,鈥� according to press notes. 鈥淭hrough memories, visions and feverish dreams, he confronts each of them. As he gains real insight into their lives and struggles, he discovers how he went from being a normal kid in New York City to being the notorious gunfighter Billy The Kid.鈥�

鈥淚鈥檓 quite excited to get behind Cissel鈥檚 new play Must,鈥� said Willis in a statement. 鈥淚t looks at Billy the Kid through a unique eye. It鈥檚 a character study, with the exhilarating landscape of New Mexico as a backdrop.鈥�

The production will feature scenic design by Alexander Woodward, lighting design by Zach Blane, costume design by Brooke Cohen Brown, and sound design by Emma Wilk. Casting is by Chad Eric Murnane, CSA.
