Birdland Jazz Club officially celebrated the opening of its new venue, the Birdland Theater, September 20. The 100-seat performance space is located on the lower level of the existing theatre district hotspot at 315 West 44th Street.
Ryan Paternite and Jim Caruso head programming for the venue, which features cabaret, jazz, dance, burlesque, comedy, and more. The theatre will also allow for an extension of the current Broadway at Birdland programming, with more performances by stage favorites and limited-run Off-Broadway productions.
