Oscar, Olivier, and Tony nominated actor Colman Domingo (Sing Sing) will join Nica Burns as a producer for the West End transfer of Kiln Theatre鈥檚 production of Retrograde by Ryan Calais Cameron (For Black Boys鈥�), in association with Chuchu Nwagu Productions, New Frame Productions, Sayers & Sayers Productions, Tilted Productions, and Chris Steward & Shanay Holmes.
The production, directed by Amit Sharma, will begin performances at the Apollo Theatre March 8, for a run through June 14. Opening night is set for March 19.
Retrograde centers on trailblazing actor-activist Sidney Poitier on the precipice of signing his career-defining Hollywood contract. As he grapples with the implications of signing his life away, his principles come to the fore as he weighs the pros and cons of entering into the system.
Starring Ivanno Jeremiah (Constellations, Humans) as Sidney Poitier, the West End production will also feature Stanley Townsend (Kaos, The Normal Heart) and Oliver Johnstone (Antigone, All My Sons).

Retrograde follows Cameron鈥檚 smash West End hit For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy, which sold out two successive runs.
The creative team will include Sharma, set and costume designer Frankie Bradshaw, lighting designer Amy Mae, and sound designer Beth Duke, with casting by Juliet Horsley.
