The album is produced by Dean Sharenow.
The world-premiere production opened June 15, 2015, starring Tony winners (The Book of Mormon) and (Matilda, Th茅r猫se Raquin), who can be heard on the cast album. Preludes played through July 19 at Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater.
From the creators of the acclaimed Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, the show is inspired by the music of Sergei Rachmaninov. The story follows the Russian composer's struggle to overcome writer's block following a disastrous first premiere. Played by Ebert, the young Rachmaninov begins daily sessions with a hypnotist.
The CD also features original cast member (Passing Strange), Joseph Keckler (I am an Opera) and (Cyrano De Bergerac) as well as Or Matias on the piano.
