Director and Artistic Producer David Mendiz谩bal (Tell Hector I Miss Him) has been named the associate artistic director of The Sol Project, the New York-based collective of artists whose mission is to amplify and produce the work of Latinx artists. Mendiz谩bal is one of the Sol Project's founding members; he is also a designer and one of the producing artistic leaders of The Movement Theatre Company (What to Send Up When It Goes Down).
In addition, director, choreographer, and deviser Rebecca Martinez and Julian Ramirez, a talent manager at Lasher Group, will also join The Sol Project as members of the artistic collective.

Padr贸n will continue to lead The Sol Project as he begins his artistic directorship in New Haven in 2019.

The Sol Project's founding memebers are Claudia Acosta, Adriana Gaviria, Mendiz谩bal, Padr贸n, Laurie Woolery, Elena Araoz, and Kyoung Park. Araoz and Park have moved into advisory roles.
