Regional News Deaf West鈥檚 Our Town to Open New Season at Pasadena Playhouse Jane Kaczmarek will star in the new production of the Thornton Wilder classic.

Pasadena Playhouse has announced most of its 2017鈥�2018 lineup, which will mark the first under the direction of new Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman. To kick off the new season, the California theatre has teamed up with Tony-nominated Deaf West for a brand-new production of Thornton Wilder鈥檚 classic drama Our Town, starring Jane Kaczmarek.

Performances of Our Town will run September 26鈥揙ctober 22 with direction by Sheryl Kaller.

The season will continue with Mike Bartlett鈥檚 King Charles III, which played a hit run on Broadway in 2015. The play imagines the future of the British royal family after the Queen鈥檚 passing. Performances will run November 7鈥揇ecember 3.

Rounding out the season will be Chicago company The Hypocrites鈥� immersive adaptation of Pirates of Penzance, directed by Sean Graney (May 29鈥揓une 24, 2018), which is also s, as well as Culture Clash鈥檚 Bordertown Now, a reimagined and revisited take on the group鈥檚 1997 show Bordertown (May 29鈥揓une 24, 2018).

An additional play will be announced at a later date.
