Dramatists Play Service is marking the 20th anniversary of playwright Jones Hope Wooten's career with the release of their latest comedy, The Chicken-Fried-Fabulous Spa-Dee-Dah Sisterhood, now available for licensing.
The work follows five sassy Southern women figuring out life together from their favorite day spa.
Jones Hope Wooten comprises Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, whose comedies have become a mainstay of community and regional theatres nationwide. Over the last 20 years, their works have been performed in more than 50,000 performances and more than 8,000 productions.
"With more than 25 plays published and available for licensing, Jones Hope Wooten has become a cornerstone in community and regional theatres," says Broadway Licensing Global Chief Executive Office Ted Chapin in a statement (DPS is an imprint of BLG). "They have built an immense following with legions of loyal fans across the country."
The group's past works, the majority of which are represented by DPS, include The Red Velvet Cake War and Christmas Belles.
