Neurodiverse theatre company EPIC Players will present a neuroinclusive production of Seussical May 8-18 at ART/NY The Mezzanine Theatre.
The cast will feature Gianluca Cirafici, Shoshanna Gleich, Christine Newberry, Natalie Kaiser, Kayla Robinson, Emily DeMaio, Anjel Bell, Matt Tierney, Sandy Gladstone Karpe, Alice Frannsen, Rachel Paine, Elisa Weiss, Bre Baron, Sami Binder, Miles Butler, Tess Carvelli, Shafer Gootkind, Prince Hurst, Ethan Jones, Genesis Solivan, and Prince Hurst.
Narrated by the mischievous Cat in the Hat, Seussical follows Horton, an earnest elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing the Whos, a tiny community whose voices are all too easy to ignore. Among them is Jojo, a child who is sent off to boarding school for "thinking too many thinks.鈥�
The creative team includes Executive Artistic Director Aubrie Therrien, co-director Meggan Dodd, music director Blake Brauer, stage manager Olivia Martin, scenic designer Christian Flemming, sound designer Sean Ramos, costume designer Izzy Kitch, prop designer Dana Weintraub, and lighting designer Cameron Filepas.
EPIC Players is a non-profit and neurodiverse theatre company which produces mainstage productions, musical cabarets, and original showcases that feature neurodiverse artists. It also provides classes and access to resources as part of its mission to further inclusion of neurodiverse artists and communities in the arts.
