Film & TV News EXCLUSIVE: Watch a Clip From An American In Paris Before It Hits the Big Screen Watch a snippet of Christopher Wheeldon鈥檚 Tony-winning choreography ahead of the September screenings.

The stage musical adaptation of An American in Paris, directed and choreographed by Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon, hits the silver screen September 20 and 23 from Trafalgar Releasing. Tickets go on sale July 12 at .

Featuring original stars Tony nominee Robert Fairchild as Jerry and Leanne Cope as Lise, the filmed presentation is a capture of performances of the musical鈥檚 run in London鈥檚 West End.

An American in Paris follows the story of veteran and artist Jerry Mulligan鈥攁s told by his friend, veteran and pianist Adam Hochberg鈥攁nd the love quadrangle that ensues when both of them and aspiring performer Henri Baurel all fall for ballerina Lise.

In the exclusive clip above, the team behind the screenings gives a glimpse of the number 鈥淚鈥檝e Got Beginner鈥檚 Luck,鈥� in which Jerry tries to woo Lise while she works her job at the perfume counter.

The cast also features Zo毛 Rainey as Milo Davenport, David Seadon-Young as Adam Hochberg, and Jane Asher as Madame Baurel, as well as Julian Forsyth, Ashley Andrews, Sophie Apollonia, Zoe Arshamian, Sarah Bakker, James Barton, Alicia Beck, Chrissy Brooke, James Butcher, Jonathan Caguioa, Jennifer Davison, Katie Deacon, Rebecca Fennelly, Sebastian Goffin, Alyn Hawke, Nicky Henshall, Genevieve Heron, Amy Hollins, Frankie Jenna, Justin-Lee Jones, Robin Kent, Kristen McGarrity, Julia J. Nagle, Daniela Norman, Aaron Smyth, Todd Talbot, Max Westwell, Jack Wilcox, Carrie Willis, Stuart Winter, and Liam Wrate.

The musical, featuring a book by Craig Lucas, is inspired by the 1951 Oscar-winning Gene Kelly film of the same name and features songs by George and Ira Gershwin. The score was adapted, arranged, and supervised by Rob Fisher, featuring orchestrations by Christopher Austin and Bill Elliott with dance arrangements by Sam Davis, musical supervision by Todd Ellison, and musical direction by John Rigby.

The production features costume and scenic design by Bob Crowley, projection design by 59 Productions, lighting design by Natasha Katz, and sound design by Jon Weston.

The original Broadway production was nominated for 12 Tony Awards in 2015 and won four: Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations, Best Scenic Design of a Musical, and Best Lighting Design of a Musical. The U.S. tour of An American in Paris wraps this month.
