, Tony Award winner (South Pacific) is to helm the fall 2015 revival, which will be produced by , and Steve Traxler. Five-time Tony Award nominee (Cabaret, Golden Boy, South Pacific, Follies, The Drowsy Chaperone) is slated to star.
Performances will begin on Broadway Nov. 17, but no theatre for the revival has been announced. Rehearsals are to begin Sept. 28.
The casting notice also states that musical direction will be by Ted Sperling, and casting is by Telsey + Company/Abbie Brady-Dalton. The general manager is Richards/Climan, Inc.

The revival will be based on the original conception and choreography of , who won a 1965 Tony Award for his direction and choreography of the musical, and will feature choreography by Israeli-born artist Hofesh Shechter.
The musical was last revived on Broadway in 2004 and starred Tony nominee and Tony winner . Added to that Fiddler was a new song, written by (music) and (lyrics), called "Topsy-Turvy," an animated moment for Yente, the matchmaker, and the village women in Act Two.
The original production, which also features a book by , opened on Broadway in 1964 and took home nine Tonys, including Best Musical.
