Frank Wildhorn's Your Lie in April鈥擳he Musical, which played a London run last summer, has a cast recording on the horizon, and 半岛体育 has a first listen to one of the show's tunes.
Your Lie in April is a romantic tearjerker, centering on young piano prodigy K艒sei Arima and his inability to play following his mother鈥檚 death. When Arima forms an unexpected friendship with violinist Kaori Miyazono, she slowly inspires him to perform again.
Titled "Where's My Superhero?," the song is performed by Rachel Clare Chan. Check out the romantic wishing song below.

Written by Grammy, Tony, and Emmy-nominated composer Wildhorn, the show is the second musical manga adaptation of Wildhorn's, following Death Note the Musical. Based the multi-million-selling Your Lie in April manga by Naoshi Arakawa, the work was first published by Kodansha. The manga was previously adapted into a 22-part anime television series and a live-action film.
In addition to Wildhorn, the musical features lyrics by Carly Robyn Green and Tracy Miller, a book by Riko Sakaguchi and an English language book by Rinne B. Groff. Your Lie in April was directed and choreographed by Nick Winston (Fame, Annie, Death Note: The Musical), and co-directed by Jordan Murphy (Back to the Future).
This recording of Your Lie in April: The Musical is based on the show鈥檚 West End production, which ran at London鈥檚 Harold Pinter Theatre from June 28 to August 11, 2024. The album鈥檚 cast includes Zheng Xi Yong, Mia Kobayashi, Rachel Clare Chan, Dean John Wilson, Theo Oh, Lucy Park, Ericka Posadas, and Ernest Stroud.
The music arrangements and orchestrations are by Jason Howland, with Katy Richardson serving as musical supervisor. The musical director and conductor is Chris Poon. The recording is produced by Nigel Wright and co-produced by Wildhorn and Katy Richardson.
