The 92Y鈥檚 Lyrics & Lyricists concert series will continue with Yes I Can: The Sammy Davis Jr. Songbook February 23鈥�25, featuring Harriett D. Foy (Amazing Grace), Jared Grimes (After Midnight ), Max Kumangai (Waitress), Matthew Saldivar (Bernhardt/Hamlet), and Betsy Wolfe (Falsettos).
Under the artistic direction of Laurence Maslon, Yes I Can journeys through Davis鈥� career, including Broadway鈥檚 Golden Boy, highlighting such songs as 鈥淭he Birth of the Blues,鈥� 鈥淲hat Kind of Fool Am I?,鈥� 鈥淢r. Bojangles,鈥� and 鈥淚鈥檝e Gotta Be Me.鈥�
The concerts coincide with the February 19 premiere of the PBS American Masters documentary Sammy Davis, Jr.: I鈥檝e Gotta Be Me, written and co-produced by Maslon.
Performances will take place February 23 at 8 PM, February 24 at 2 PM and 7 PM, and February 25 at 2 PM and 7:30 PM.
