The 92nd Street Y presents An Afternoon With Heather Headley November 24 at 2 PM at the famed Manhattan venue.
Attendees can expect an afternoon of music from Headley's musical theatre songbook. Jason Webb is the musical director.
Headley originated the role of Nala in Elton John and Tim Rice鈥檚 Tony-winning The Lion King and then went on to star in the title role of the duo鈥檚 next Broadway venture Aida, which won her a Tony for Best Actress in a Musical. She won a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album in 2009 for Audience of One. Headley, who played the Witch in the City Center staging of Into the Woods, can be seen on Netflix鈥檚 Sweet Magnolias.
