The release also comes as the Laurence O'Keefe-Kevin Murphy musical prepares an Off-Broadway return, again at New World Stages, with performances set to begin June 22 and continue through September 28. This staging comes via London's The Other Palace, where the musical became a long-running hit that even got a live stage filming. Andy Fickman is back to direct, after staging both the original Off-Broadway and London productions.

Heathers the Musical follows Westerberg High student Veronica Sawyer, who's on track to become one of the most popular girls in school after befriending the beautiful but cruel Heathers, only to meet a mysterious teen rebel who changes everything.
Based on the 1989 film by Daniel Waters, Heathers the Musical premiered with a sold-out run in Los Angeles in 2013, and transferred to New World Stages in 2014. The authors revised the show for a 2018 West End run, before playing two national tours and a West End encore engagement—several new songs and script changes that will be heard in New York for the first time in the forthcoming run.
Fickman is reuniting his London creative team for the Off-Broadway mounting, including choreographer Gary Lloyd (the upcoming staging will also include additional choreography by Stephanie Klemons), set and costume designer David Shields (this staging will also feature co-costume design by Siena Zoë Allen), lighting designer Ben Cracknell, and sound designer Dan Samson. Will Joy will serve as music supervisor, with Mona Seyed-Bolorforosh as music director.
