The American Theatre Wing honored the 2019 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients at the WYNC Greene Space March 18. The grants, named in honor of the late, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer of Rent, are given annually to honor emerging composers, lyricists, and book writers.
This 2019 recipients are the team of Julia Gytri and Avi Amon (Salonika), Emily Gardner Xu Hall (Untitled Cherry Orchard Musical), Andy Roninson (the musical podcast Take a Ten), and Ben Wexler (Washington Square).
