News Into the Woods National Tour Launches Tonight The Fiasco Theater production was previously seen Off-Broadway.
The national tour of the Fiasco Theater production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods launches November 29 at The David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, FL, following technical rehearsals and tour preview performances at the Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts in Orange Park, FL.



Stops include San Francisco; Los Angeles; Dallas; Washington, DC; and other cities. .



The touring cast of versatile actor/musicians who sing, act, and play instruments comprises Evan Harrington as the Baker, Anthony Chatmon II as Lucinda/Wolf/Cinderella鈥檚 Prince, Fred Rose as Mysterious Man, Darick Pead as Milky White/Florinda/Rapunzel鈥檚 Prince, Bonne Kramer as Cinderella鈥檚 Stepmother/Jack鈥檚 Mother, Laurie Veldheer as Cinderella/Granny, Vanessa Reseland as the Witch, Philippe Arroyo as Jack/Steward, Eleasha Gamble as the Baker鈥檚 Wife, and Lisa Helmi Johanson as Little Red Riding Hood/Rapunzel with Joshua Archer, Javier Ignacio, Kate Moore, Evan Rees, Alanna Saunders, and Chris Sweatt.

The acclaimed production was seen at New Jersey's McCarter Theatre Center in May 2013. It officially opened Off-Broadway January 22, 2015, following previews that began December 18, 2014, at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. It played its final performance April 12, 2015.



This touring production is directed by Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld. In an earlier statement Steinfeld said, 鈥淭he key element in every Fiasco show is the sense of ensemble that the audience sees on stage. What you鈥檙e seeing is not a group of individuals, but an actual group鈥攍ike seeing a band or a choir. We鈥檙e really listening, breathing, and thinking together.鈥�

The tour brings together the Dodgers (current producers of Jersey Boys and Matilda) and the original Tony Award-winning producers of Into the Woods and its Broadway revival with NETworks Presentations (South Pacific, The Phantom of the Opera, War Horse).

The creative team includes (sets), Whitney Locher (costumes), (lighting), and Charles Coes (sound), Lisa Shriver (choreographer), (music supervision), and Frank Galgano and Castle (orchestrations). Casting is by Stewart/Whitley.
