Jean Louisa Kelly, who played Snow White in the original Broadway cast of Intothe Woods (then billed as Jean Kelly), will make her New York concert debut January 21 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Although the 9:30 PM concert is sold out, tickets are available for the live stream by .
Kelly, who has been seen in the films Uncle Buck, Mr. Holland鈥檚 Opus, The Fantasticks, and Top Gun: Maverick, will be accompanied by Grammy-winning musical director Paul Bogaev. Richard Sabellico directs Kelly's autobiographical show, which will feature songs from Gypsy, The Fantasticks, Next to Normal, and Company.
鈥淚 really want to keep growing creatively,鈥� Kelly says. 鈥淚n writing the show, it was fun to try to describe my journey using songs. I often think in musical theatre phrases鈥攖here is a song for every situation! My story is an unlikely one that I think is hopeful. You never know what鈥檚 going to happen, and sometimes it鈥檚 wonderful.鈥�
