Broadway News Jeff Daniels to Reunite With Aaron Sorkin for Broadway鈥檚 To Kill a Mockingbird, With Celia Keenan-Bolger, Gideon Glick, and More The Scott Rudin and Lincoln Center Theater production will begin performances in November.

The Newsroom Emmy winner Jeff Daniels will reunite with Aaron Sorkin as he headlines the writer鈥檚 stage adaptation of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. The Bartlett Sher-helmed production, a collaboration between producer Scott Rudin and Lincoln Center Theater, will begin performances November 1 at a theatre to be announced. Opening night is set for December 13.

Daniels, who takes on the role of Atticus Finch, returns to Broadway after a Tony-nominated turn in 2016鈥檚 Blackbird. Joining him are fellow Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (The Glass Menagerie, Peter and the Starcatcher) as Scout, Will Pullen (Sweat) as Jem, and Gideon Glick (Significant Other, Spring Awakening) as Dill. The casting of the three鈥攅ach notably older than their respective characters鈥攊ndicates Sorkin鈥檚 intentions to present the drama as a memory play.

The company will also include Tony nominee Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences), Tony nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson (A Raisin in the Sun) as Culpurnia, Tony nominee Stark Sands (Kinky Boots) as Horace Gilmer, Dakin Matthews (Waitress, Rudin鈥檚 upcoming The Iceman Cometh) as Judge Taylor, Frederick Weller (Mothers and Sons, Glengarry Glen Ross) and Erin Wilhelmi (A Doll鈥檚 House, Part 2) as Bob and Mayella Ewell, and Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire) in his Broadway debut as Tom Robinson, as well as Phyllis Somerville and Liv Rooth.

Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The production will feature sets by Miriam Buether, costumes by Ann Roth, lighting design by Jennifer Tipton, sound design by Scott Lehrer, and an original score by Adam Guettel. Casting is by Daniel Swee.
