Joaquina Kalukango, the 2022 Tony winner for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her performance in the new Broadway musical Paradise Square, will be among the performers on NBC鈥檚 Macy鈥檚 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, to be broadcast July 4 at 8 PM ET (check local listings). The Independence Day celebration will also stream on Peacock with an encore presentation on NBC at 10 PM ET.
Kalukango will perform an arrangement of 鈥淢y Country, 'Tis of Thee鈥� and 鈥淎merica the Beautiful鈥� during the Macy鈥檚 Golden Mile fireworks display, where thousands of golden-hued shells will create a cascading effect stretching for more than a mile across the East River.
Everyday heroes and celebrity guests鈥攊ncluding Craig Ferguson, Padma Lakshmi, Paulina Porizkova, and Wolfgang Puck鈥攚ill also share their inspirational stories about what it means to live in the U.S. in a series of segments called 鈥淭he American Spirit.鈥� And, this year鈥檚 fireworks display will launch more than 48,000 shells and effects from five barges positioned between 23rd Street and 42nd Street on the East River.
Macy鈥檚 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is a production of Universal Television in association with Macy鈥檚 and is produced by Brad Lachman Productions with Lachman and Bill Bracken serving as executive producers.

A portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit the Entertainment Community Fund's Women's Health Initiative, founded by the late Phyllis Newman.
Named for one of the greatest dance icons in American theatre history, the Chita Rivera Awards honor dancers and choreographers throughout the theatre industry.
