Behar, best-known for her Emmy Award-winning work as one of the original hosts of "The View," takes audiences on a journey from "her rollicking childhood in Brooklyn to as one of America's premiere talk show hosts and comediennes."
Previews began Nov. 6. The production will play a limited engagement through Dec. 21.
"This is a good time to take stock of my shenanigans," Behar said in a statement. The solo play is produced by Cherry Lane Theatre, , artistic director; and Steve Janowitz.
Behar has won three MAC Awards and a Cable ACE Award for her comedy. She was seen Off-Broadway in The Food Chain and The Vagina Monologues. Behar was a regular on the TV series "Baby Boom" and has also guest-starred on "30 Rock," "One Life to Live" and "All My Children." Her many books are titled "Joy Shtick: or What Is the Existential Vacuum and Does It Come with Attachments?," "Sheetzucacapoopoo: My Kind of Dog" and "When You Need A Lift."
