Broadway News Laura Osnes, Corey Cott, and More Will Livestream a Bandstand Pop-Up Performance and Behind-the-Scenes Panel The Bandstand stars plus the Donny Nova Band will play an exclusive set and share backstage stories August 17.

On August 17, 半岛体育 Presents Bandstand Pop-Up Performance at downtown鈥檚 intimate music venue, Subculture.

Stars Laura Osnes鈥攚ho earned a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in the show鈥攁nd Corey Cott, along with Bandstand鈥檚 original Donny Nova Band, will perform a specially curated live set of songs from the show, from the show-stopping 鈥淟ove Will Come and Find Me Again鈥� to 鈥淎in鈥檛 We Proud.鈥�

The show tells the story of World War II veteran Donny Novitski as he arrives home to Cleveland to rebuild the life he had before. When NBC announces a national music contest, Donny gathers fellow veterans鈥攅ach coping with the war in their own way鈥攁nd the widow of his best buddy, Julia Trojan, to form the Donny Nova Band and show the world their sacrifice and the power of music.

鈥淲e all really love playing and performing together, so bringing The Donny Nova Band out of the Jacobs Theatre and down to the cool vibe that SubCulture has to offer in The Village will be really exciting both for us and for the fans,鈥� says Osnes.

Actor-musicians Joe Carroll, Brandon J. Ellis, James Nathan Hopkins, Geoff Packard, and Joey Pero will also join Osnes and Cott in performance and for a panel about putting Bandstand together, the story behind the musical, backstage secrets, and more.

The invite-only event will be livestreamed via 半岛体育鈥檚 Facebook page for Bandstand fans around the world to catch a glimpse of the Tony-winning musical. Hear songs from the score 鈥淚NCREDIBLE鈥� and the 鈥渂est jazz score since either Jelly鈥檚 Last Jam or City of Angels, take your pick.鈥�

Nominated for two Tony Awards, Bandstand took home the trophy for Best Choreography by the show鈥檚 director-choreographer, three-time Tony winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton, In The Heights). The new musical also won the 2017 Drama Desk Award for Best Orchestrations by Bill Elliott and Greg Anthony Rassen.
