Pittsburgh CLO has announced initial casting for its summer lineup of musicals, which will launch June 22鈥揓uly 1 with Titanic. Bradley Dean (Dear Evan Hansen) will play architect Thomas Andrews, with Christopher Gurr (Tuck Everlasting) as Captain Edward J. Smith and Chris Peluso (Assassins) as Frederick Barrett.
Andy Kelso (Kinky Boots) will star as Jerry in CLO鈥檚 July 6鈥�15 production of The Full Monty, which will also feature John Hickock (Aida) as Harold and Tony nominee Anita Gillette (30 Rock) as Jeanette.
The Broadway classic Brigadoon will follow July 17鈥�22 starring Jeff Kready (A Gentleman鈥檚 Guide to Love & Murder) as Tommy Albright, Jason Babinsky (Doctor Doolittle) as Jeff Douglas, and Lenny Wolpe (Wicked) as Mr. Lundie.
Jessica Grov茅 (A Little Night Music) and James Snyder (If/Then) will co-star as Belle and the Beast in Disney鈥檚 Beauty and the Beast, running July 27鈥揂ugust 5. Jennifer Hope Willis (The Phantom of the Opera) will play Mrs. Potts.
The season will close with Thoroughly Modern Millie, starring Laurie Veldheer (Newsies) in the title role, with Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams (Hallelujah, Baby!) repeating her performance as Muzzie鈥攁 role she played in the musical鈥檚 original Broadway run. The role of Jimmy Smith will be played by Bobby Conte Thornton (A Bronx Tale).
