A mix of Broadway, London, and international stars will be heard on the upcoming studio cast recording of Jo鈥擳he Little Women Musical, a new musical adaptation of Louisa May Alcott鈥檚 coming-of-age novel.
With music by Dan Redfeld, a book and lyrics by
Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej, the recording will be released globally May 23 by Center Stage Records on all platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Nigel Wright and Redfeld are producing the album with Brian Purcell as executive producer.
Recorded at London鈥檚 Abbey Road Studios, the studio cast features Tony winner Laura Benanti as Marmee March, Tony winner Christine Ebersole as Aunt March, Olivier nominee Julian Ovenden as Father, Grammy nominee Christine Allado as Jo March, Tony nominee Bob Gunton as Grandfather, Kelly Mathieson as Meg March, Sophie Pollono as Amy March, Eleanor Grant as Beth March, Rob Houchen as Theodore 鈥淟aurie鈥� Laurence, Chris Mann as Professor Bhaer, Liam Tamne as John Brooke, Tobias Turley as Fred Vaughn, and Miyuki Miyagi as Sallie Gardiner.

The musical will be presented at a future semi-staged concert in London, directed by JoAnn M. Hunter. Cast members and date will be announced at a later time.
A different version of the famed Alcott novel, with a book by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, played Broadway in 2005, earning a Tony Award nomination for Sutton Foster's leading performance as Jo.
