Lucas Hedges and Zo毛 Winters have joined Sissy at Baryshnikov Arts, stepping in for the previously announced Christopher Abbott and Alia Shawkat due to scheduling conflicts. Performances run April 24-26, with Celia Rowlson-Hall writing, directing, and choreographing.
Hedges and Winters join a previously announced company also including Marisa Tomei, and dancers Jesse Kovarsky, Nando Morland, Aliza Russell, Jacob Thoman, and Jacob Warren.
In this dance-driven version of the mythological story, Sissy is a pregnant woman whose rock is sometimes the moon and sometimes a disco ball, exploring the Sisyphean experience of motherhood and being a female artist.
The work is being presented in partnership with Pastel and Weird Sister.
