Five-time Tony Award-nominated composer Michael John LaChiusa will stay after the November 17 performance of his musical Marie Christine for a talkback with the audience at Theater Wit in Chicago.
The composer of The Wild Party, First Lady Suite, Queen of the Mist, and the recently filmed Hello Again, will answer questions about his 1999 musical based on Medea, with the action moved to 1890鈥檚 New Orleans and Chicago.
The show is produced by BoHo Theatre company at the Theater Wit, 1229 West Belmont, Chicago. Lili-Anne Brown, who has a long history of staging LaChiusa's musicals, directed this production, which is scheduled to continue through December 10.
As composer, lyricist, and librettist, LaChiusa earned Tony Award nominations for his musicals The Wild Party and Chronicle of a Death Foretold, as well as Marie Christine.
