Two-time Olivier nominee Marisha Wallace has joined the roster of West End stars set to perform at A Marvellous Party, a benefit concert celebrating No毛l Coward set for November 17 at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London's West End.
Also now set to make appearances are Alfred Enoch, Derek Jacobi, Ian McKellen, Joshua James, Samantha Spiro, and Lia Williams, joining the previously announced group including Hugh Bonneville, Gyles Brandreth, Judi Dench, Lindsay Duncan, Cush Jumbo, Robert Lindsay, Hilton McRae, and Giles Terera. Daniel Evans, co-artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, is directing.
Youth groups and bursary recipients, who have been supported by the No毛l Coward Foundation, will also participate. Attendees can expect to enjoy excerpts, including previously unseen material, from Coward鈥檚 plays, sketches, musicals, and songs. Tom Brady will be the evening's musical director.
The upcoming performance will mark the culmination of Coward 125, the two-year long celebration of Coward鈥檚 life and work, leading up to the 125th anniversary of his birth.
Following Coward鈥檚 lifelong support of philanthropic causes, the gala will benefit three charities: The Queen鈥檚 Reading Room, the No毛l Coward Foundation, and Acting For Others.
Among Coward's Broadway titles are Tonight at 8:30, Design for Living, Bitter Sweet, Hay Fever, Blithe Spirit, Present Laughter, Sail Away, Waiting in the Wings, and more.
