Heather Mac Rae (, , ) will star in the reading of the musical, which was penned by Jordon, June Rachelson-Ospa and Daniel Neiden. Mac Rae will be joined onstage by Felicia Blum, DJ Bucciarelli, Christina Farruggia, Rick Roemer, Marian Steiner, Levin Valayil and Brian Walters.
In a statement Jordon said, "In the show, the mom of a gay young man helps him find his true love through some pretty outrageous means. Along the way, she finds her own true love. The central character of Delilah Leigh is my own invention, but she鈥檚 real to me. She is my mother. When I lived my own real-life coming out to her, I could not have scripted it any sweeter in terms of her embrace of my emotions, my journey, and me.鈥�
