News Paper Mill to Reunite Lend Me a Tenor Cast for Ken Ludwig Sequel The New Jersey theatre has announced casting for A Comedy of Tenors.

Millburn鈥檚 Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for Ken Ludwig鈥檚 A Comedy of Tenors, the sequel to his award-winning comedy Lend Me a Tenor. The New Jersey theatre will reunite the original cast from its production of Lend Me a Tenor, made up of Judy Blazer, John Treacy Egan, Donna English, David Josefsberg, Michael Kostroff, Jill Paice, and Ryan Silverman.

Performances are scheduled to begin February 1 and continue through February 26. The comedy will be directed by Don Stephenson.

Here鈥檚 how Paper Mill bills Ludwig鈥檚 sequel: 鈥淥ne hotel suite, four tenors, two wives, three girlfriends, and a soccer stadium filled with screaming fans. What could possibly go wrong? It鈥檚 1930s Paris and the stage is set for the concert of the century鈥攁s long as producer Henry Saunders can keep the amorous Italian superstar and his hot-blooded wife from causing runaway chaos. An uproarious ride, full of mistaken identities, bedroom hijinks, and madcap delight.鈥

Set design will be by Michael Schweikardt, with costume design by Mariah Hale, lighting design by Stephen Terry, sound design by Randy Hansen, and hair and wig design by Paul Huntley. The production stage manager is Gary Mickelson.

Lend Me a Tenor premiered on Broadway in 1989 and received seven Tony Award nominations, winning two. It was also honored with four Drama Desk Awards. Prior to Broadway, Lend Me a Tenor played London's West End, where it received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Comedy. A Broadway revival was seen in 2010.
