The Actors鈥� Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre production of the musical Waitress, which began performances March 26, continues in South Florida through April 20. Get a first look at the production in the photo gallery below.

Artistic Director David Arisco directs the beloved musical, which features a score by Tony nominee Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson based on the film of the same name.

The cast is led by Lindsey Corey as the pie-making Jenna, who is trapped in an abusive marriage, with Kareema Khouri as Becky, Becca Suskauer (Pretty Woman tour) as Dawn, Matthew Michael Janisse (Beetlejuice tour) as Cal, Chris Stevens (TINA: The Tina Turner Musical tour) as Earl, Ryan Everett Wood (Beauty and the Beast tour) as Dr. Jim Pomatter, Nick Cearley (The Skivvies) as Ogie, Peter McClung as Joe, and Frida Kigles as Lulu.

The ensemble features Jessica Sanford, Catie Pires-Fernandes, Don Seward, Nia Bourne, Joel Hunt, Alessandro J. Lopez, Cindy Pearce, and Paul Tuaty.

Adapted from the 2007 film and featuring a book by Nelson and a Tony-nominated score by Bareilles, Waitress was developed and premiered by Massachusetts' American Repertory Theater before debuting on Broadway in 2015, picking up four 2016 Tony nominations, including Best Musical. The work made a Broadway return at the Ethel Barrymore following the COVID-19 shutdown beginning September 2, 2021, sticking around through December 20.

The Florida production also has associate direction and musical direction by Stephen Christopher Anthony, choreography by Michael Rader, scenic design by Brandon M. Newton, lighting design by Eric Nelson, costume design by Ellis Tillman, sound design by Reidar Sorensen, production management by Carlos Correa, set dressing and properties design by Jodi Dellaventura, stage management by Naomi Zapata, and assistant stage management by Jessica Friedhof.
