Death Becomes Her star Megan Hilty joined the famed wall of caricatures at Sardi's April 24, with her castmates on hand for the portrait unveiling. Tony winner Bernadette Peters, who played Hilty's mother on NBC's Smash, also gave a speech in Hilty's honor. See photos and video from the caricature reveal below.
"I would watch this girl, this beautiful performer, this talented being, and I just fell in love with her, and I wanted to be her real mother," Peters said of Hilty. "In [Smash], she sang a song called 'Let Me Be Your Star.' Well, you always were a star, and you still are."

Hilty currently stars as Madeline Ashton in Death Becomes Her at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Before the musical comedy, she was last seen on Broadway as Brooke Ashton in Noises Off, a performance that earned her a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play. Her previous Broadway credits include Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5 and Glinda in Wicked.
Hilty gained widespread recognition for her performance in Smash as Ivy Lynn, a seasoned chorus girl vying for the lead role in a musical about screen icon Marilyn Monroe. The show premiered in 2012 and ran for two seasons. Its long-awaited stage adaptation is currently running on Broadway. Hilty's screen credits also include NBC's Annie Live!, Patsy & Loretta, and more.
