Locke made his professional stage debut in the Donmar Warehouse's production of 's The Trials in 2022. His performance earned him the award for Best Professional Debut at the 2023 WhatsOnStage Awards.

The current revival of and 's Sweeney Todd began performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre last February. Directed by , the revival was nominated for eight 2023 Tony Awards, and won Best Lighting Design of a Musical () and Best Sound Design of a Musical ().

The Sweeney Todd cast is currently led by . Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster, the official replacements for the titular Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett, begin performances February 9. The pair is succeeding original cast members Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford, who departed the show January 14.

Nicholas Christopher is playing Sweeney Wednesday-Saturday performances through February 8 and Pirelli on Sunday performances, while Paul-Jordan Jansen handles the role of Sweeney on Sundays. Jeanna de Waal is playing Mrs. Lovett at all evening performances and Sundays through February 8, while DeLaney Westfall takes on the role for Wednesday and Saturday Matinees. Raymond J. Lee plays Pirelli at all evening performances through February 8, while Daniel Torres steps into the role for Wednesday and Saturday matinees. 

The company also features Tony Award winner and Laurence Olivier Award nominee (The King and I) as Beggar Woman, (Hamilton) as Anthony, (On Your Feet!) as Johanna, (The Last Ship) as Judge Turpin, (Les Mis茅rables) as Beadle Bamford, and (Hamilton) as Pirelli.

The production features 's full, 26-piece orchestration for the first time on Broadway since the 1979 original production, with music supervision by three-time Tony winner . A cast album was released in September.

Based on the play of the same name, Sweeney Todd centers on its titular barber who seeks revenge on a corrupt judge and turns to murder, with neighbor and accomplice Mrs. Lovett ultimately discovering they can dispose of the evidence by serving up the most unsettling meat pies to the people of London.

The production features choreography by , scenic design by , costume design by , lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, special effects design by , and wig, hair, and make-up design by J. Jared Janas. Casting is by , and Baseline Theatrical's and serve as general managers. is production stage manager.
