Off-Broadway News Public Theater Finds Full Cast for Caryl Churchill's Glass. Kill. What If If Only. Imp.

The Off-Broadway company is presenting four of the playwrights new works, presented together for the first time.

Off-Broadway's Public Theater has found its full cast for the upcoming run of Caryl Churchill's GLASS. KILL. WHAT IF IF ONLY. IMP., set to begin performances in the company's Martinson Hall April 3 ahead of an April 16 opening night. The run will continue through May 4.

The performance features four new works from Churchill鈥攖he first time they have been performed together鈥攄escribed as a "kaleidoscope of stories" in press notes. The production is the latest in a long collaboration between Churchill and The Public, dating back to the North American premiere of Churchill's Top Girls in 1982.

The cast will include Japhet Balaban, Ruby Blaut, John Ellison Conlee, Adelind Horan, Maddox Morfit-Tighe, Deirdre O'Connell, Cecilia Ann Popp, Sathya Sridharan, Junru Wang, and Ayana Workman, with understudies Kyle Cameron and Anya Whelan-Smith rounding out the company.

James Macdonald is directing with scenic design by Miriam Buether, costume design by Enver Chakartash, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Bray Poor, stunt coordination by Michael Rossmy, and dialect coaching by Amanda Quaid. Caroline Englander will serve as production stage manager with Luisa S谩nchez Col贸n as stage manager.

GlassKill, and Imp made their premiere at English Stage Company at the Royal Court Theatre in 2019, with the same company premiering What If If Only in 2021. The latter made its North American premiere with a 2021 remote live performance from National Asian American Theatre Company.
