The Waverly Gallery, by Kenneth Lonergan (Lobby Hero), opened October 25 at the John Golden Theatre. Directed by Drama Desk and Obie Award winner Lila Neugebauer in her Broadway debut, the production features Academy Award nominee Elaine May, Academy Award nominee Lucas Hedges, Tony Award winners Joan Allen and David Cromer, and, in his third Lonergan play, Tony nominee Michael Cera.
The Waverly Gallery follows a kindhearted, loquacious grandmother (May), battling the final stages of her Alzheimer's disease and struggling to maintain her independence, and the subsequent effect of her decline on her family, especially her grandson (Hedges).

The Waverly Gallery premiered at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in August 1999, before opening Off-Broadway at the Promenade Theatre in March 2000. The Broadway revival marks the second play to be seen on the Great White Way in 2018, following Second Stage's production of earlier this season.
