Reviews of London's newest production of A Streetcar Named Desire, which opened in December but delayed press performances due to the last-minute replacement of injured original star Lydia Wilson, are in.

Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize-winning drama tells the story of what happens when southern belle Blanche DuBois moves to New Orleans to live with her sister, Stella, and her brutish brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski, in a dingy apartment.

The production, which is directed by Olivier winner Rebecca Frecknell, stars Paul Mescal (Normal People, Aftersun) as Stanley Kowalski, Anjana Vasan as Stella DuBois, and Patsy Ferran as Blanche DuBois, who stepped into the role with only a few days notice. They are joined by Dwane Walcott, Eduardo Ackerman, Ralph Davis, Janet Etuk, Gabriela Garc铆a, Tom Penn, and Jabez Sykes.
