Marissa Jaret Winokur, who originated the role of Hairspray鈥檚 Tracy Turnblad on Broadway and won a Tony Award for her performance, and Ricki Lake, who first brought that character to life in the 1988 John Waters film, will make cameo appearances in NBC鈥檚 Hairspray Live!
Winokur and Lake shared the news in an . It was not revealed how they will be featured. The live broadcast will star newcomer Maddie Baillio in the lead role.
