Britain's Royal Shakespeare Company returns to the Brooklyn Academy of Music with its production of King Lear starring two-time Olivier Award winner Antony Sher in the title role. Helmed by RSC's artistic director Gregory Doran, performances begin April 7 in the BAM Harvey Theater.
The production, which marks Sher's final Shakespearean role, arrives in the U.S. following an acclaimed world premiere in the U.K. in 2016. The limited Off-Broadway engagement will run through April 29.

King Lear features set design by Niki Turner, lighting design by Tim Mitchell, music by Ilona Sekacz, sound design by Jonathan Ruddick, movement by Michael Ashcroft, and fight direction by Bret Yount.
