Ken Ludwig鈥檚Lend Me A Soprano at Houston, Texas' Alley Theatre. Performances began September 16 in the Hubbard Theatre for the run, which will play through October 9 with press night set for September 21.
Putting a twist on his Lend Me a Tenor, Ludwig reverses the roles in this 1934-set comedy. Famous soprano Elena Firenzi is about to perform for one night only at the Cleveland Grand Opera Company as Carmen. But, she arrives late, her husband Pasquale is feeling jealous, and it may be up to Jo, assistant to the opera company's manager Lucille Wiley, to save the day.

Starring in the production are Broadway alums Ellen Harvey (How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Phantom Of The Opera) as Mrs. Wylie, Mia Pinero (West Side Story) as Jo, and Alexandra Silber (Fiddler On The Roof) as Elena Firenzi. They are joined by Orlando Arriaga (72 Miles To Go..., Quixote Nuevo) as Pasquale, Brandon Hearnsberger (A Christmas Carol) as Jerry, Susan Koozin (Clue,Murder on the Orient Express) as Julia, Skyler Sinclair (Crimes of the Heart) as Beverly, and Steven Good as Leo.
Eleanor Holdridge directs the production, helming a creative team comprised of scenic designer Klara Zieglerova, costume designer Helen Huang, lighting designer Jorge Arroyo, sound designer Jane Shaw, and fight director and intimacy specialist Adam Noble. New York casting is by JZ Casting's Geoff Josselson and Katja Zarolinski. Rachel Dooley-Harris serves as stage manager, with Ryan Barrett assisting.
