MCC Theater has found the cast and creative team for its upcoming U.S. premiere run of Emmanuelle Mattana's Trophy Boys, set to play the Off-Broadway company's Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater beginning June 5 ahead of a June 25 opening night. The limited run will continue through July 13. Tony winner Danya Taymor (John Proctor is the VillainThe Outsiders) is directing.

Mattana will star in her own work as Owen, with Terry Hu (Never Have I Ever) as David, Louisa Jacobson (The Gilded Age) as Jared, and Esco Joul茅y (Wolf Play) as Scott. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Charlie Hano.

The work centers on a debate team at an elite all-boys prep school one hour before their final match. As they prepare to smoke their sister school (on the prompt "feminism has failed women," no less), a rumor emerges that threatens to ruin everything. The upcoming Off-Broadway bow follows earlier stagings in Australia.

The production will feature scenic design by Matt Saunders, costume design by M谩rion Tal谩n de la Rosa, lighting design by Cha See, sound design by Fan Zhang, and movement by Tilly Evans-Krueger. Gigi Buffington will serve as voice, text, and dialect coach, with Nicole Johnson as DEI consultant and Erin Gioia Albrecht as production stage manager.

Mattana and Taymor will give a talkback following the June 18 performance. Further post-show audience conversations are planned for June 10 and June 26, with cast talkbacks planned after the July 1 and July 6 performances. A Community Forum will be held June 14 between shows.

MCC is producing the run in association with Kevin Connor & Telegraph Productions Collective.

Tickets are currently on sale for Patron-level MCC subscribers. All subscribers can book beginning April 16 at noon ET, with general sales beginning April 18.
