When reached for comment, Scott told 半岛体育.com: " and I merely expressed that we鈥檙e hoping to move the show to Broadway and that we鈥檙e considering all options, including the possibility of a star playing the role of The Volunteer." She went on to say that Musto has long-been a wonderful supporter of the show.
Whorl Inside a Loop, a new play by and Scott, officially opened at Off-Broadway's Aug. 27, following previews that began Aug. 4. The premiere was co-directed by Michael Mayer and Scanlan 鈥� the creative team behind the Tony-nominated . Second Stage Theatre has not been able to confirm the rumored Broadway transfer.
Inspired by Scott's real-life experiences, the play follows a celebrity actress into a men's maximum security prison during her community service. Unexpectedly, she forms a close bond with the inmates and through teaching them theatre, gives them a voice to express themselves and their powerful stories.

Multi-Tony nominee Scott, who also co-wrote and starred in Everyday Rapture, was joined onstage in Whorl by (鈥pelling Bee), (), Chris Myers (An Octoroon), Ryan Quinn (King Lear), () and (Motown).
Scott's previous show, Everyday Rapture, also had its world premiere at Second Stage Theatre, where it opened in 2009 before transferring to Broadway the following year and was nominated for two Tony Awards.
