Featuring a book by Bekah Brunstetter and a score by Ingrid Michaelson, The Notebook follows Allie and Noah, who share a lifetime of love despite forces that threaten to pull them apart. Over its brief run, the score attracted a dedicated fan base, with the 11-o-clock number "My Days" becoming a particular favorite among online theatre fans.
鈥The Notebook is immediately recognizable as one of the most popular novels and most-broadcast films of the past 25 years," says MTI President and CEO Drew Cohen in a statement. "The musical doesn鈥檛 just transfer the story to the stage, but instead the authors have reworked the material to elevate the story for live performance, adding to the humor and the pathos expressed by these wonderful characters. Bekah鈥檚 book and Ingrid鈥檚 Grammy-nominated score deliver an incredibly moving experience for audiences everywhere."
鈥淚t鈥檚 such an honor to join the MTI family and its incredible roster of shows,鈥 says Brunstetter. 鈥淚 have so much hope and faith that our show will be reaching people for years and years to come.鈥
鈥淏eing a part of the MTI family is a pinch-me moment," adds Michaelson. "I cannot wait to see all the places our beautiful show goes.鈥
