Katori Hall's The Blood Quilt officially opened at Off-Broadway's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theatre via Lincoln Center Theater November 21, and the reviews are rolling in. See what critics have to say about the work's New York premiere below. The run is scheduled to continue through December 29.

The cast features Lauren E. Banks as Amber, Crystal Dickinson as Clementine, Mirirai as Zambia, Adrienne C. Moore as Gio, and Susan Kelechi Watson as Cassan. Understudies Eboni Edwards, Lynnette R. Freeman, and Maya Jackson round out the company.

Lileana Blain-Cruz is directing the work, about four sisters gathering at their childhood home to create a family quilt in honor of their recently deceased mother. When her will is read, the family has to deal with a troubling inheritance. The play had its world premiere in 2015 at Washington, D.C.'s Arena Stage. This is its New York City debut.
