鈥In the Heights is a celebration of community and family, both related and chosen,鈥 said director V谩squez in an earlier statement. 鈥淚t takes us back to summer 2008, Washington Heights, NYC. With the help of Lin-Manuel Miranda's brilliant score鈥攐h my gosh, this music!鈥攚e get a closer look at one particular neighborhood. In the Heights has a very universal heartbeat, and with the wonderful intimacy of the MAX Theatre, I can't wait to welcome all of the Signature audience into our 'neighborhood.' I can't think of a better way to make my Signature directorial debut than with this story of hope, resilience, and, most of all, pride in who we are and where we come from.鈥

The production also has scenic design by Andrew R. Cohen, costume design by Ivania Stack, lighting design by Rui Rita, sound design by Eric Norris, and wig design by Anne Nesmith. Casting is by Jorge Acevedo with New York casting by Geoff Josselson.
