鈥檚 humorous profile included footage from the new play at the and clips from David鈥檚 television program, "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The interview also took David back to his old apartment and his junior high school in Brooklyn.
David admitted that, despite his fame, he still lacks confidence in certain areas. "I still鈥� to this day, I still couldn鈥檛 walk up to a woman at a bar and say hello鈥� I don鈥檛 have that," the writer-actor told Rose.
David also remembered how little faith in his own mother had in him. "A mailman鈥� she wanted me to work in the post office鈥� that was her dream,鈥� he said. 鈥淚t said a lot to me. It wasn鈥檛 only that she said that. That鈥檚 how I felt about it.
鈥淶ero, zero belief in myself. And it鈥檚 changed somewhat, but there鈥檚 still a lot of that in me,鈥� said David.
Fish in the Dark is scheduled to open March 5. David created and starred in the HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and served as co-creator and head writer for the series "Seinfeld." Watch the interview below:
