Grande, who got her first big break playing Charlotte in Brown's short-lived 2008 Broadway musical , sang two songs from the score: "The Lamest Place in the World" as a solo, and "Brand New You" as a duet with Bean.
Audiences had come to hear tunes from Brown's recent musicals and , plus new songs from his forthcoming CD as well as classics from Songs for a New World, , The Last 5 Years and more.
The national tour of Brown's The Bridges of Madison County plays the Ahmanson Theatre in L.A. through Jan. 17.
